Food is Medicine Research And Data Collaborative (FIM RAD)
FIM RAD
About FIM RAD
FIM RAD is a national collaborative community for Food is Medicine professionals, data analysts, researchers, and administrators who want to move past general policy discussions and master the analytics and data storytelling of FIM and food system impact. This is a peer-to-peer space to share what is working, learn technical frameworks, and elevate how we measure and report outcomes. Together we can advance the use of data for more effective program evaluation and data storytelling.
Strategic Objectives
-
Create a collaborative peer-to-peer space for FIM researchers and analysts to connect with FIM practitioners to advance FIM evaluation, research, and analytical methodologies.
-
Create a matchmaking directory to connect FIM researchers to medically-tailored food programs.
-
Develop analytical tools to advance FIM research and analysis, especially to support the application of data science methods.
-
Amplify conversations on data and research ethics as applicable to FIM.
Opportunities for Engagement
-
A quarterly virtual meeting on the second Thursday of the month from 4pm-5pm ET, in January, April, July, and October starting October 8th, 2026.
-
A monthly Substack newsletter to keep community members informed of the latest FIM-related data & research publications (with plans for an opt-in weekly newsletter as the community grows).
